MM’s 35th single is confirmed to be titled “Mikan.” Lately on H!O and JPM, the meaning of the title has been one of the most discussed topics. Mikan is entitled to two likely interpretations:
1. Mandarin orange. I laughed at this one lol. Although I don’t think the song would be about mandarin orange, it is a possible translation. It could have something to do with JunJun and LinLin, as mandarin orange is originated in China. As far as the music and lyrics are concerned, I’m thinking it might be like a ballad like AAA’s Chewing Gum. And one crazy thought before we move on: Orange is Eri’s assigned color!! Go figure. :D
2. Incomplete. So the first thing I thought of when I read the title was AAA’s Mikansei (everything links back to AAA, doesn’t it? lol). I think this translation works better, as it does make more sense; too many “things” have happened this year in H!P…even rumors about the end of MM. Clearly, it isn’t over yet. Just as I will blog about AAA’s incomplete future tomorrow, I think MM’s future has yet to finish. MM itself is a concept that should survive through generations.
I’ll go ahead and tell you that I’m afraid of MM’s future when Reina (the youngest of the 6th generation) graduates, but that’ll be in a while – quite a few years IF 6th gen. don’t get themselves in trouble. I personally don’t think the 6th gen. will get themselves involved in a scandal. But that’s just my instinct.
Side note: It’s great, just sooo great that MM’s going to TAIWAN (MY HOME!!) from October 29th-31st… NO NO NO. NOOO! One, because I am here right now. >:( Two, because my mom is getting her final surgery on October 30th, like right in the middle of MM’s trip. If I were to travel back, I’d rather spend time with her. OTL I want to see my girls…Eri…Ai-chan…Gaki-san…Sayu…Reina…JunJun…LinLin…even Aika and Koha. (;__;) Sighh hopefully I’ll get my godsister to give me a report about it, lol.
